Seedance Pro Fast by ByteDance — fast iteration model for testing motion ideas before committing to full quality. Same price as Seedance Pro, generates faster. Uncensored image-to-video on ZenCreator.
Same ByteDance engine as Seedance Pro, but generates significantly faster. Pick Fast for drafts, Pro for final output.
⚡ Built for fast iteration
Test your prompt, composition, and motion idea here first. When you're happy with the direction, re-run on Seedance Pro for final quality.
🔓 Uncensored output
Trusted users get unrestricted generation — no content filters on the animation. Same uncensored access as other Seedance models.
🎬 Solid ByteDance motion quality
The same ByteDance motion engine as Seedance Pro, dialled back for speed. Natural movement, no major jitter — good enough for drafts and social content.
📦 High-volume screening
When you need to test 10 different motion directions before committing, Fast keeps the cost low. Screen broadly, then invest credits where it counts.
🔄 Natural pairing with Pro
Fast and Pro share the same model family — the motion style you approve on Fast is exactly what you'll get at higher quality on Pro. No surprises.
What is Seedance Pro Fast?
Seedance Pro Fast is ByteDance's speed-optimised variant of the Seedance Pro video generation model. It comes from the same Seed research lab that built Seedream, Seedance Pro, and Seedance Pro 1.5 — the studio inside ByteDance responsible for the generative models powering TikTok's creative tools. Where Seedance Pro is tuned for polished final output, Fast is tuned for one thing: generating a usable draft as quickly and cheaply as possible.
The model produces 5 or 10-second video clips at up to 1080p. The trade-off versus Pro is honest: you'll see more motion artefacts, slightly less detail retention, and a softer overall look — especially in scenes with complex textures or fast movement. That's the bargain. For quick motion direction calls and high-volume idea screening, those trade-offs are invisible. For a hero clip you're posting to your feed, they're not.
On ZenCreator, Seedance Pro Fast runs inside the Image-to-Video tool. You bring a source image — a portrait, a product shot, a character — write a short motion prompt, and the model animates it. Trusted users get unrestricted output: the ByteDance content filters are off, same as across the rest of the Seedance family.

Six examples — each shows the source image (input) and the motion prompt used to animate it. Upload the source image to Image-to-Video, paste the prompt, pick Seedance Pro Fast.
Seedance Pro Fast vs other ZenCreator video models
Seedance Pro Fast earns its place as the go-to screening tool, but three situations call for a different model:
Final, published content — the motion artefacts and lower detail retention show on a real screen. When the clip is going live, upgrade to Seedance Pro. The motion style you approved on Fast will hold at full quality.
You need audio in the clip — Fast generates silent video only. If the output needs voice, ambient sound, or music baked in, switch to Seedance Pro 1.5 or Wan 2.6 + Audio.
You need to anchor the first or last frame — Fast has no start/end frame control. For shots where the opening or closing frame must match a specific image exactly, use Wan 2.2 + LoRAs, which supports start frame anchoring.

Write a motion prompt
Ultra realistic cinematic pool video. Use the source image as the exact first frame. A young woman is partially submerged in a calm swimming pool at golden hour, wearing a black swimsuit, eyes closed, water softly rippling around her. She remains still for a brief moment, then slowly lowers herself under the water in one smooth natural motion. The camera gently follows her downward, passing through the water surface with a realistic liquid transition, soft distortions, bubbles, and shimmering reflections. Underwater, her wet hair drifts slightly, she opens her eyes naturally, looks directly into the camera, and gives a soft calm smile. The pool water is clear and luminous, with realistic underwater light rays, subtle bubbles, gentle fabric and hair motion, serene luxury atmosphere, no abrupt movement, no exaggerated acting, no fast swimming, no distortion, no anatomy errors, no flicker. Camera movement is smooth and cinematic, with a slow push downward into the underwater reveal.
Keep subject motion and camera motion as separate phrases.
"slow push forward" / "static no camera movement" / "slight handheld drift"
✓ One physics cue
A single physics note for clothing/hair prevents stiff or flickering fabric.
"fabric falls naturally" / "hair moves with velocity" / "skirt catches the breeze"
Skip: quality tags ("high quality", "8k"), static descriptions, and positions the model can't enforce. Seedance Pro Fast takes direction, not a technical spec.
Bottom line
Seedance Pro Fast is built for one thing: fast turnaround on motion ideas. Use it to test, pick the direction that works, then re-run on Seedance Pro for the final output. For drafts, social reels, and high-volume animation workflows where speed matters, Fast is the right tool. For final published content, audio-sync, or precise frame anchoring, see the alternatives above.

Both come from ByteDance and use the same motion engine, but Fast generates significantly faster at the cost of output quality. You'll see more motion artefacts and slightly softer detail — especially in complex scenes with fast movement or fine textures. The motion direction that works on Fast will transfer to Pro when you're ready for a final render.
For casual social content — stories, quick TikToks, background loops — yes, it's fine. For a hero clip, a paid campaign, or anything you're putting front and centre, the quality gap between Fast and Pro is noticeable enough to matter. The workflow most creators use: test on Fast, publish on Pro.
No — Fast generates silent video only. If you need audio baked into the animation, switch to Seedance Pro 1.5 (which also adds camera control) or one of the Wan 2.5 / 2.6 Audio models. Alternatively, generate the clip on Fast, then use the Lipsync tool to add audio in a separate step.
No. Seedance Pro Fast has no start or end frame anchoring. For shots where the opening frame must match a specific image exactly, use Wan 2.2 + LoRAs (start frame support). For both start and end frame locked, Kling 2.1 is the only option — though note Kling 2.1 has content filters on.
Sharp, well-lit portraits with a clear subject against a readable background perform best. The model struggles with complex overlapping elements, strong motion blur, or ambiguous depth. For the cleanest results: a single subject, good lighting, clean background.
For trusted users on ZenCreator, yes. Seedance Pro Fast runs on a private ByteDance deployment with content filters disabled — the same uncensored setup as Seedance Pro and Pro 1.5. If you're not yet a trusted user, contact support to request access.
